For this end-of-summer outing as a couple, we rented a canoe and paddled down the Dordogne from Gluge to Meyronne, a good ten kilometers. The welcome was excellent, the equipment was in good condition, and the advice was helpful.

Good experience, we did the Meyronne Souillac route (18km). We arrived 30 minutes late and missed the return shuttle scheduled for 2:30 p.m. A big thank you to François who was kind enough to drop us off at our campsite, saving us from having to wait for the next shuttle at 5:45 p.m.

As we were camping in Rocamadour, we decided to park in Souillac (next to Quercyland). We took the 9:30 a.m. shuttle to Meyronne, which was included in the €22 per person package for renting a canoe for two. The Meyronne/Souillac route (18 km) took us three hours, including a stop for lunch. There is little current and it is very calm. We mainly saw birds (including herons). It should be noted that the ticket entitles you to free access to Quercyland (water park), which is really interesting (given the price of a normal ticket: €15). We will definitely do another trip with the same company near Beynac.
